Missouri rules to know
- Switching Medigap plans
- Anniversary rule. Within 30 days before or after your policy's anniversary date (not your birthday), you can switch to the same plan letter from any insurer.
- Medigap under 65
- Required, with limits. Missouri insurers must sell any Medigap policy they offer, with no health questions, to people under 65 on Medicare because of a disability who apply within 6 months of enrolling in Part B (with another open enrollment at 65); the sources do not clearly say whether people on Medicare only because of kidney failure (ESRD) are included.
- Agent licenses
- Agents must be licensed for health insurance in Missouri. Look one up.
