What we collect from people looking for an agent
- Searching is anonymous. We don't ask for your name to search.
- If you ask one agent to contact you, we collect your name, ZIP code, phone and/or email, how you want to be contacted, and an optional message. We also keep the exact consent wording you agreed to, the time, and your IP address, as a record of your consent.
- If you ask us to tell you when an agent lists near you, we keep your email, the area you searched, the consent wording and the time. We email you once about that area, then stop. We never share or sell it.
- We never ask about your health, medications or conditions. Please don't include them in a message.
Who we share it with
Only the one agent you chose. We do not sell or rent your information, share it with other agents, insurance companies, or lead buyers, or use it for advertising. We use service providers (hosting, database, email) who process it only on our behalf.
Consumer health data
Some state laws (for example, Washington's My Health My Data Act) treat information that could suggest a health need as consumer health data. We collect only what is needed to pass your request to the agent you chose, we don't sell it, and we don't use advertising pixels on profile, search or contact pages. You can ask us to see or delete your information at support@medicarelocalbroker.com.
Agents
Agents give us their contact details, license information, NPN and documents (such as their NIPR report) so we can verify them. Documents are stored privately and used only for verification. Payments are handled by Stripe; we don't store card numbers.
Listings from public records
Some basic listings (name, city, licensed states) come from public state license records. They carry no badge and are not shown to search engines until the agent claims them. Any agent can ask us to remove their listing.
How long we keep it
Contact requests and consent records: up to 6 years, to show consent if asked. You can ask us to delete earlier.
