Connecticut rules to know

Switching Medigap plans
Year-round rights. Insurers can't turn you down for Medigap because of your health at any time, and prices don't vary by health or age. A wait of up to 6 months for pre-existing conditions is allowed.
Medigap under 65
Required, with limits. Connecticut insurers that sell Medigap Plans A, B, C or D to people 65 and older must sell the same plans to people under 65 who have Medicare because of a disability (Plan C only if you were eligible before 2020), at the same community rate; the law does not mention ESRD or set a special 6-month window.
Agent licenses
Agents must be licensed for health insurance in Connecticut. Look one up.
