Pennsylvania rules to know

Switching Medigap plans
Pennsylvania doesn't add a yearly Medigap switching right. Outside your 6-month Medigap Open Enrollment Period (which starts when you're 65 or older and have Part B) and certain federal protections, such as losing other coverage, insurers can usually ask health questions and turn you down. States with switching rights.
Medigap under 65
Required. In Pennsylvania, anyone who applies within 6 months of first enrolling in Part B (or of a retroactive Part B notice) must be offered every Medigap plan the company sells regardless of age, so people under 65 on Medicare qualify and cannot be turned down or charged more for health reasons.
Agent licenses
Agents must be licensed for health insurance in Pennsylvania. Look one up.
